BLOGGING. OH, yes. The very thing I promised myself I wouldn't do until I had kids. I mean, isn't that what it's about? Bragging about your children? Well, three things occurred that made me change my mind. The first thing was: I am a firm believer in educating each other about life through sharing life experiences. Have you ever had a "Forrest Gump" moment...where somehow you randomly get caught listening to a strangers life story? Ya, I eat that stuff up. I love it.The second was: I started stalking. Ha. I would read blogs (even people I don't know, ha) just to learn from them. Everyone's experience is different, when we share we learn. We learn a different perspective, route, and attitude we might not have taken. The third thing was when I found myself lecturing my engaged girlfriends. I've been married for oh...8.5 months and i'm constantly learning about marriage! PROBLEM: Single friends don't care just because they aren't in that realm of life.understandable. Newly-marrieds: we're all going through the same thing...although sharing with them has been a great joy! Older married people...they pull the "We'll try being married for 25 years!" acting like i'm going through nothing compared to what they've mastered(which they have)...and in my head, i'm thinking..."EXACTLY!You've been married for 25 years, would you please SHED SOME LIGHT! I'm 21, haven't been married for even a year yet, YOU surely have some tips or advice!" Before I got married, other than marriage counselors, only ONE person sat me down and warned me how hard the first couple years might be.Only ONE. Since I've gotten married, only ONE person has talked to me about how important it is to keep learning and tweaking things in your marriage....and that person was my unsaved Biology Lab professor. How come everyone wants to share how they raise children, but never about how to live in peace with another sinner, or how to...be married.haha. It's just something I've noticed in our culture. I'm willing to share what i'm learning, I hope you're willing to help me by leaving your experiences with me! I want to...need to learn more.HELP!(DISCLAIMER: I LOVE being married to my wonderful husband, whom i refer to my Favorite person.NEVER my best friend, I use that title for other people...it just doesn't give David justice. He's more than my best friend. He's my person...and I hope it didn't sound like I have a sham of a marriage or something, I was just making a point.ha) ANYWAY, something else on my mind is Wedding planning.I know, I know, i'm done with that. (praise God!), BUT something I learned about wedding planning, is it's all about NETWORKING. since I just got done planning a wedding, some of my knowledge is still useful for brides right now.i bet in a couple short years, the wedding world will have changed and my experiences will be null in void.ha.but we'll do what we can.so BRIDES, give your input!what are you finding?!Help another sister out!Also...I hope to use a blogging to help re-vamp my walk with my God. I need some more spice in my relationship with Him, and I enjoy writing my thoughts...obviously, so hopefully I will encourage and give encouragement! So whether it's marriage, wedding planning, fun stuff, or spiritual lives, tell me about you in the little comment box below each post....take as much space as you want....if you've read this whole thing, hi five!and thanks for stopping by.and always keep heart.love, jennifer.
